I just got this tank from a friend of mine. I might not put the 3 stripes back in there and he told me that the royal gramma will beat any other fish up. I want to buy my own fish and I do not want it to kill them. What should I do?
Also have some mushrooms and looking to get some soft corals!

Your PH level is just fine. You've got a yellow tang and 3 damsels, who is he going to beat up? Those fish can hold their grounds. Here's my personal thought, as long as it's a smaller sized tang, it should be fine for now. I've got a tang in my 55, but I have intention on getting a 125+ gallon tank by spring for them though. As long as your willing to upgrade down the road, the yellow tang will be fine!!! :happyfish

Your PH level is just fine. You've got a yellow tang and 3 damsels, who is he going to beat up? Those fish can hold their grounds. If you going to get into corals, you better read some threads about it. Since you just moved the tank, you might of disrupted the system, better wait a bit. Another thing is lighting, it is important for corals!!!! I know when we moved our tank, it disrupted the whole system and we had to wait a bit cause the tanks recycled again for some reason. We did kept all the water, but the previous owner had it pretty dirty and we had to clean all that crap up. Plus salinity was very high and we had to lower it. Anyway, read up on it before you start!

please guardian for the good of yourself, your wallet, and most of all for the good of your inhabitants go do some reading by a good book i dont have it myself but plan on getting it is the contientious marine aquarist it think thats it help me out guys the authors last name is fenner i think but do some reading it helps alot plus you can get lots of info here or go to www.wetwebmedia.com lots of good stuff there too.
