Hmmmm...and what are you calling drap and ordinary?
I consider the yellow polyps pests...and the xenia was taken in from a fellow reefer ... I plan to trade it at a couple of LFS's for in-store credits....same as I do the yellow polyps...seems there are a lot of hobbyists unlike you that can't wait to snatch them up each time I trade them in.....and the drap/ordinary frags I trade in help fund my habit....so....I guess I'm sayin' drap and ordinary may be in the eye of the beholder.....

NM Reef you have some of the most kick ass photos and corals iv seen..
How big is your tank!
Xenia question, that looks like pulsing xenia... what exactly is the "pulsing"? I have pulsing xenia and pumping xenia... I can see the pumping xenia pump, but i dont know what the pulsing of the pulsing xenia is.

The display is a 100 gal....25 gal sump....55 gal refugium.
Yes...my xenia pulse....same as pump....the open & close action of the heads which is believed to be some sort of feeding action.........

...and many thanks to all the positive comments about the photography...they are appreciated. Photography has become a hobby as a off shoot of my reefkeeping hobby...the two are combined in my opinion. I do take family photos and try as often as I can to take nature type photos...but I really get a kick out of finding ways to improve my reef related photography.
For those that may ask...I use a Canon G5.

Ive seen tons of your close up pictures and they're some of the best Ive ever seen. How about a full tank shot? I've love to see how you have them all set up. Maybe some tank specs too?

On the reef forum I posted a full tank shot I just took.....full views are really difficult to get and I seldom post them for that reason...they just never provide a true representation of what my eye sees....but below you'll see the full display for what its worth.
As for specs...
100 gal reef ready display
25 gal sump
55 gal refugium
mag drive 1200 & magdrive 1800 returns(1200 feeds chiller & refugium....1800 is split three ways back to the display)
EuroReef CS6-2 skimmer
Pacific Coast CL-650 chiller(recent addition)
older model MRC calcium reactor
Display lighting: 2x400 10K XM'x driven by a PFO ballast
2x110 actinic VHO's
Refugium lighting: 4x65 CSL 10K PC's & a 40 watts standard actinic
Display also has 4 maxijet 1200 powerheads for additional circulation
I believe that about covers the nuts and bolts of the operation. The sump/refugium/chiller/calcium reactor are remote located in a room behind the display. :happyfish

Love all the little details in the close up shots. I think the corals look elegantly beautiful.
