Phytoplankton - do all corals consume it?

...or just certain types? Want to make sure I'm not adding stuff I don't need to be adding to the tank.

Only certain ones really need it. If your lights are good and your dosing your tank as needed you don't really have to feed them at all. What corals do you have?

Bang Guy...I thought all the coral foods for filter feeders had phytoplankton in it???? From what Foodshape posted, he/she thought the same.

They may have phytoplankton in it. I just can't think of any corals that eat it. in my opinion any food designed to feed filter feeding corals should contain mostly zooplankton of food derived from animal protein.

Maybe Snake or someone can come by & correct me.
