Onyx Clowns are more known for their coloring up, where a third bar will come in and the fish will turn mostly black over a 1.5-2 yr span.
Here's pics of mine shortly after I bought them, until about 1 yr later. The most recent shot is about 3 months old now.
The male has had his 3rd bar come in, and both have much more black. Eventually, they should be almost entirely black, with orange tips at the fins and face.

a friend of mine is cross breeding different typed of clowns. He has cross bread picasso, snowflake, and onyx just to see what sort of shapes and colors he has come up with. He gave me a pair of the babies. I am not totally sure how old they are now, but i have had them for about two months.
i will post the pics i have from the time i got them until now. the first few are with my old camera, the last few are with the new one i am trying to learn.

our best guess is that these two will develop into full onyx.

i dont know if he has breed his picasso and snowflake together. He has also just started this in the last year or so. A lot of trial and error at first. I have a pair of the some of the oldest babies. As you can see they arent fully developed quite yet, so its hard to tell what they will look like as they get older.

thats cool that he is crossing different types. I think a picasso snowflake would be really kool.
