Lived most my life in Mo. so I can definitely relate to those funnels. We do miss the thunderstorms, though.

2 weeks ago.......tornados 2 nights in a row(killed 10), then sleet, then rain, then balmy warmth and now ICE and snow

oh and nothin' like sleeping during a little thunderstorm......espeically in the spring when the windows are open :jumping:

My wife was in St Clair co. visiting family when that (those) storms went through. 100+ touchdowns. WOW!! They spent a lot of quality family time in the basement. You can't find a house out here with a basement, but I guess you don't really want one during an earthquake. Now we get a half dozen lightning strikes a year and a few claps of thunder and that's it. Just enough to make us want a thunderstorm. Occasionally there will be a water spout that moves onto land and everyone freaks out, but most have never witnessed a real tornado so it's kinda funny to hear them talk like it's the end of the world.

St. Clair.....not too far from Ballwin. We spent so much quality time in the basement one spring, our daughter learned how to ride her bike. (before out basement was finished
)
We have a huge rubbermaid comtainer of "stuff" in the basement just in case all hellz breaks loose, great weather radio too. It does get scarey during the day......you never see so many shades of green and yellow skies.... :scared:
