We have had a couple issues where the camera would autofocus and lock, but the object was not in focus. We have not yet contacted Canon about this and I must admit that Cranberry's post made me a bit apprehensive.
Also, although I read that the older lenses for SLR film cameras will work on the DSLRs, we have yet to have the AF work on one. Supposedly you just have to adjust f-stop 1 step, but they failed to even focus. Take your lenses with you when you shop and try them on the unit you choose. Call Canon while you are in the store test driving it if you have issues.

This is the Oly I use. It has a hard time duplicating the colors in the tank, but it takes spectacular night shots outdoors.
