Pictures of my corals

I have two 55 gal tanks and the lighting I use is the Sundial HO T5 lighting system holds 2 daylight bulbs and 2 actinic, however I find that too much for my 55 gal tanks so I only run 1 daylight (pink bulb) and 1 460nm actinic bulb. this light is great because it has dual integrated timers and automatic photocell for dusk/dawn. moon lights come on when lights are off. I feed them a combination of brine and marine snow every 2-3 days. they are growing like a weed now since I added the pink light.

8 hours total light. one hour actinic in the am, then combination for 6, then one hour actinic in evening. moon lighting throughout the night. lighting is all automatic, dont have to do a thing. only problem if loose power have to reset the timing, but no big deal.

am I just slow this morning or did you say you only use 2 t5 bulbs, and you have a clam under less than 2 watts per gallon and it looks that good?

I guess I am. it sits at the very top of the rock and its as happy as a clam can be. growing like a weed, sucking up all my calcium

Looks good, I am now inspired to turn my 55 gallon HO t5 planted tank into a reef instead of my 29 gallon pc planted tank since I won't have to upgrade fixtures. I did some research on t5 and sure enough, they are able to grow sps. I am excited.

Post 10 thanks! I was so in a hurry to comment and didn't read through all the posts. I have a question, what is the thing in the center of the tank that looks like it is shooting water upward?
