Pigeon problems

They also carry fleas and ticks and parasites. So they can land in your backyard and drop some fleas which your dog could pick up.

Maybe introducing Peregrine Falcons to the area. Chicago released the falcons to combat the pigeon population.
Sadly if you get caught shooting pigeons you could have legal trouble. Poison bird seed kills more than pigeons and again you could be in trouble. Maybe bring up the Falcons at a town meeting or something. I doubt you are the only one who wants them gone.

I don't believe pigeons are migratory so unless there is a state or local law snuffing them probably is OK. I have a bunch of Ravens hanging in the neighbor's tree that are beginning to take on a Hitchcockish aura to them that might need a little "encouragement" to find a new home. I know is bad legal Ju Ju to kill those.

Im with Flower. Look into local and state laws. Look into animal Cruelty laws and hunting laws. Firing a weapon any weapon in a residential neighborhood can be frowned upon bu the local po po. Leaving a bunch of dead birds around could be bad as well.

We were talking in the car about how cool training an owl or a falcon etc to roost in our yard.
I definitely can't lay poison. I joke about the BB gun, but I honestly couldn't hurt anything. Not to mention the roof tiles. I have no problem killing a problem, but the possibility of causing a slow death or just maiming it.... I couldn't do it.

So no BB gun?
Guess not. I skimmed the article, saw it mentioned Cali, and posted it. Seems more like their pushing their services.
If you just want to target, say the solar panels, and keep them away...

those new pellet guns are so accurate. They have scopes and everything else. You could fire away aimed they would die instantly. I would call your County as it can be a major health issue. Then if not call your local news. Make a big fuss out of it and things will change. My neighbor did it about trees growing from the county property into his house. He was trimming them back every year. Finally got fed up and called the county every single day. Took him two weeks but they came out and cut the tree down.

My Schnauzer would have climbed up there and ate them...
The squirrels look at the Beagle some3 feet away... and then continue eating. Poor ole dog.

Doooooood...... I don't wanna go all Hellraiser on the birds.
I'm not above killing them, but it's got to be humane. Causing suffering because I don't like what they do to my yard..... I don't fly that way.
If I squirt them with the hose everyday, do you think that would deter them at all or would I just be supplying them with water to drink?
