I am strong believer in MH. Latley there has been a big shift from MH to the new T5s but I am still not convinced at the output in true Watt vrs Watt performance. I have just never seen a really "NICE" tank with exclusively T5 without them having them lined like sardines over the tank. A 6 bulb fixture? I wouldnt think its enough.
I do think 6x54 is a little weak for a 90g. If possible to run two of the fixtures over the tank then I would vote for it, but stand alone I wouldnt think its enough for such hogs as clams or SPS.
For the record I am not downing T5s but I have yet to see them stand alone with the big dogs. All depends on what your aiming for keeping too. If no SPS or clams, you might do quite well. At only 100 bucks a pop, run two and fegedaboudit! JMO

I have been told that pcs look better on paper than t5. I agree with you. I have yet to see a tank that looked good with t5 without having the top covered in fixtures

several question you had-
In another thread you asked about compact floursesants vrs PC.
PC mean Power Compact, they ARE flouresents, they are the little twin bulb compacts everyone is familair with.
SO, HO, and VHO all have thier pros and cons, VHO from my understanding dont have the same lifespan of normal HO bulbs. (up to two years) But with the fixture your looking at does it incllude bulbs?
as for what you can keep I answered that in post #21. A 90 is not a tiny tank, but its also not a monster, I wouldnt try a reef without at least two of these fixtures. a few corals and so on might be fine under your light, but if your looking to build an actual reef as in packed with corals, then go with at least two of these fixtures. Odds are at the price your quoting the bulbs are NOT included. SO back to square one, go and get a nice dual MH fixture and have no worries.
As always JMO

woah, only 4 bulbs? use three fixtures. Not cost effective anymore , plus your back to being one of those guys we mentioned at the top of this thread having a tank that looks like the proffessor from "Back to the Future" and its covered in messy wires and fixtures cluttered around it.
DO it your way absolutley, but I still vote MH, nice clean and simple

I have always shyed away from that website for thier fixtures are cheapo remakes usually but theres a place for everything. And at 529 for that light, it would be 1200 if name brand. I just need to factor in new bulbs too, so price is really more like 700 but its still a decent deal if they atand by thier product.
I posted a pic of my mini reef over in the photo thread for "post your fav"
Check this out in the classifieds if your looking for the 4ft t5s https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=265866
