Pink Floyd Fans

How many of you are Pink Floyd fans? I've been for a while now even though I wasn't even born when they were still around and I was only in the first grade when Division Bell was released. I own all of their albums and Dark Side of the Moon being my favorite and Division Bell being my least favorite. Since I will never see these guys live in concert, I would like to know what it was like to see them live. Was it anything like the Australian Pink Floyd Show? I saw them last winter and they were amazing and because they were only a tribute band, the real deal must have been something spectacular. Any thoughts?

If you get the chance, go see roger waters. Its a great show, and i imagine a very similiar experience to pink floyd. I know he is touring the US this summer. I saw him in 2000 at madison square garden, and last september in camden. both great shows.

I've been listening to them for about 15 years now. I originally fell in love with "The Wall" back in 1992 or 93.... but to truly appreciate Pink Floyd is to understand and appreciate the deep symbology and meaning of "The Dark Side of the Moon."
"The Great Gig in the Sky" nearly brings me to tears every time I hear it... It's absolutely amazing... such a beautiful song...
What's really neat about that album is that most people don't hear most of it. I have quite a few friends that listen to them, and I have a very high end sound system in my listening room. When they come over and listen to that album, they are amazed by all the subtle sonic elements hidden in the music. The unsung hero of that album is the engineer who put it together, Alan Parsons. If you ever get a chance to listen to it through a very good pair of headphones (in lieu of a top-notch sound system), do it.
Dang, now I'm all worked up again...

I never really got into Floyd so much. However... I remember a good party years ago where we watched the wizard of oz synchronized to dark side of the moon. Strangely......... it's all kind of blurry!!!!

ummagumma rocks. I heard along time ago that "ummagumma" was the slang word for sexual intercourse
