If it is going to be a "fish killer" I will have to rethink my wish list! I would have a coronary if it got anything other than my ornary blue damsels.
LOL...Cranberry has had one for a long time....she says her fish sit on it....I do not think this is the same thing that Flower has had in the past

Well............you'll have to keep us updated. It will be a little while before I'm ready anyway, the whole budget thing + my tank really needs a couple more months to mature. It is beautiful and I love pink and purple!

My fish used to lounge around my two as well and I never had any problems. I had a purple and a green that I adored, one just had a love affair with powerhead intakes. He got sucked in once and I thought he was a goner but he bounced right back and even though I had them covered, always stretched that way even though I tried several times to redirect the current. The green didn't have a death wish like the purple one, it wasn't as large as the purple so it couldn't stretch as far though.
I never had any trouble with mine except that I had to move alot of corals around to accomodate the full perimeter of the anemones tentacles. They are really beautiful and I never got tired of watching them.

Smartorl---thanks for the info. I bet the green ones are beautiful also! I don't have many corals in my tank---terrible lights for right now. It was intended to be a FOWLR tank but I am trying to push it a bit more. So far I have feather dusters, mushrooms, and xenia. I would really like to get a suncoral, tube anemones, possible some zoas, and maybe a chili coral. But the fish are the center piece of the tank--hence the coronary if it stung one!

I'm getting my first chili coral next week! I'm excited as I have never had one. I am starting over and trying to get things for my tank that I haven't gotten in the past rather than try and rebuild my old tanks. I have been ssssooo on the fence about getting another ta, I used to love watching them, they are mesmerizing with proper currents.
I really enjoyed the videos!

Does anyone know how to get a video off of a Blackberry Curve onto this site? I have a cord to connect to the computer…I have a video of my beautiful fish killer. It sure looks like the same thing, does yours glow in the dark?
I also should add, new fish were killed by it, the established fish (hippo tang for example) knew to stay away from it. Over the time I had it, he ate 2 lawnmower Blennies, a diamond sand sifter goby, shrimps and any hermits that crawled right on it. He stung to death but did not eat the copperbanded butterfly fish. I had it 2 years before it even killed any fish at all.
It didn’t eat little bits of food either, I fed it half a chunk of jumbo shrimp 2Xs a week, and it didn’t hurt its tentacles at all.
As for those who desire a chili coral…They don’t like too much light but do enjoy just a little, so don’t put it in complete shade. Make sure it has plenty of water flowing over it and past, not just at it. I feed the tank phytoplankton 2Xs a week. I attached mine to the top of a cave so my sand sifter can’t bury it..He does that, and it killed my last one that was huge and gorgeous, before the little guy I have now. Oddly my first one had tiny white stars for polyps, this new one has tiny orange stars.

No I was glad for the heads up. Looked like something ate the top off of it then its all out again. I really like it. It has added so much to the tank.
