Okay, my current nano of 10 gals is now 4 years running. All is doing very very almost to well or I would not be writing this.
I am running just PC lights in this tank and this is what I have:
approx 12lbs live rock
assorted very very huge mushrooms
large toadstool leather
small toadstool leather
green star polyps
small frag button polyps
red open brain
1 yellow watchman goby
1 firefish goby
1 blue leg coral banded shrimp
3 snails
live sand bed
So as you can tell everything is in my opinion getting to the point of being out grown this 10 gal. You can hardly see any live rock for the size of these corals that have grown all over them.
I have thought about selling everything to a friend and just keeping my FW tank going, then I think maybe I should not.
The problem comes in of course $$$$ buying a new tank is out of the question as hubby says my next hobby will be a job...
I am a stay at home mom.
I have for a short time moved everything into my 25 gal which is my FW tank and it was nice but its my lighting that is the problem. It has a canopy with one flouresent light 20 watt. Buying a new light for this tank is out of the question as hubby states. For this all to look good in a 25 gal means more live rock to be purchased etc.....well you see where this is going hey.
So I ask all you experts out there, what would you do??

I am by far an expert but my advice would be to frag everything keep one of each frag for yourself. Sell the rest, either online or to a LFS for credit. Use that $$ to get what you need for the 25gal...
Hey it will give you somthing to do, and be a way to fund the upgrade. Sounds like a win win to me...JMO.

Agree with PD, frag sell and keep some for you.
Oh yeah this thread is meaningless without pictures.

Thanks for the replies. I will post a picture later on today as I have to clean the glass first.
If I were to just move everything over to the 25 gal as they are in size, what other kinds of fish could I add to this 25 gal besides the 2 gobys that I have??
A list of the kinds of fish I could keep in there would be great!

Thanks for the list, it says that Strawberry Pseudochromis are not reef safe, is this true??
Will Dottybacks and Pseudochromis fight if you put one of each into a 25 gal??

Flipping back to the thought of keeping the 10 gal and doing some fragging instead. Will be asking many questions about this before I do it though.
At the moment my yellow watchman goby is a real nasty buggar. My firefish hides all the time as he claims the whole tank as his.
If I were to trade the firefish in and put in a Purple Pseudochromis instead would the two (yellow watchman and psudochromis) get along??

Not sure typically dotty backs and pseudochromis should not be in close proximity to each other.
Your at a disadvantage in your 10 gal tank. Fish that are normally peaceful can become aggressive due to the small confines of your tank. Every fish needs their space, and they dont see the tank as limiting another fishes territory, all they see is that the other fish is too close to their territory. YWG are not typically aggressive so a pseudochromis should be ok with it, but there are exceptions to every rule. JMO.
