I have this puplish hair algae? The bubbles seem to be UNDER the algae rather then on top like other algaes.
Can you please help me identify this?
I created a video and will provide you guys with it if necessary.
I have no idea what this is. There used to be diatoms where this purple stuff is now... hmmm..

that is a dark red cyano outbreak, if you can suck it off the rock with your siphon tube that is for sure what it is, the bubbles give it away, that is the o2 that the algae is releasing during photosynthesis, and with cyano it always appears to be stuck under it, causing the algae to be able to spread, because as the bubble gets bigger, it will eventually rip away part of the algae and carry it to the top of the tank, where it pops, releasing the algae, and allowing it to populate another low flow area. Increase your flow, and check your phosphates... make sure you find the reason for your problem, or it will keep coming back...

What fish would consume this stuff? If any?
It would be hard to remove without losing some of it free floating within the tank...

adding livestock is seldom the best way to solve any algae(excess nutrient) problem. nothing eats the stuff anyway. suck out what you can, and increase your flow in that area. if you have a phosphate test kit, see if you have any phosphate in the water column. if you do, run some phosgaurd to bring it down. water changes do wonders also.
