Please help identify

Hi everyone, I am a new salt water hobbiest, right now I ham at the end of my cycling and about to add my cleaning crew to the brittle starfish already inhabitin my live rock, I am aware the I have bryopsis algae and aiptasia, so will be getting peppermint shrimp, Mexican turbo snails, and 2 lettuce nudibranch, to take care of those. But am trting to identify this purple thing on my rock, can you please help.

Looks like some type of Zoanthid. As a guess I'd say Protopalythoa.

Lettuce Slugs are hit and miss with Bryopsis so I wish you good luck on that one. Sometimes raising Magnesium levels to a high level using Kent Tech M can get rid of it. Not much actually eats it other than Chitons and Keyhole Limpets. Sometimes other animals can be convinced to eat it if they are starving. I'm hoping you have the species of Lettuce Slug that will eat it.

I have found that bryopsis goes away on its own as the tank matures ans the water quality stabilizes.
