Actually they are duplicating like mad. They are some sort of egg or baby. This picture is of my algae scraper. I have noticed some of this stuff on the rocks and glass. Here is what I have in my tank.
1 Hermit crab
1 Coral banded shrimp
1 Chocolate Chip Star
1 Pencil Urchin
1 Condylactis
1 Blue fin Damsel
a bunch of Nassarius snails
I would think that it was from the snails. But from what I have read online, Nassarius snails are near impossible to breed in captivity. Thanks.

This picture is about as good as it will get. It was taken with a 6 megapixel camera. I just took a 500x500 block out of the middle of the pic. These things are way small. I dont have a macro lens.

DO YOU KEEP THE SCRAPER IN THE TANK? (sorry bout caps.) Looks like blotches and bits of coralline algae to me. :D

Yes I leave the algae scraper/scrubber in. So ITS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL :) my neighbor said that it was calcium deposits, but I don't ever listen to him. I don't notice them moving.
