thats the only bad thing about typing, is tone. Well when another member suggested hydriods i went looking for photos and found one that seemed similiar in the geometry of the feelers, I have the link on my earlier posts http://john.munchnet.com/bc/hydroid2.jpg Also anyidea what the orange stuff on my rocks are? sponges or something, some have a white tip in their center.

yeah they look a whole lot like that too, no usually only one curls at a time, almost like its bringing something into the hole in the rock then uncurls again.

Hi Renee , Yup, it is a cuke. Nothing else has tentacles of that sort of structure. Some of them live in holes or in burrows, so that fits. They generally do not persist in reef tanks as we normally don't feed enough of the appropriate foods for them, unfortunately as they are pretty neat critters.
Ron Shimek thinks it's a cuke as well.
