Possibly, but it's highly doubtful that you have one of those species. This really looks like a bubble tip anemone or coral. He just got overlooked in the trading hands process, and you are the lucky recipient. I wouldn't try to move it. If it popped up and looks this good on it's own, leave it alone and see what happens. Take a couple pics in a few days and put up here.
Will do. I am eager to watch it grow.

When in doubt toss it out. Gotta say I'm with spanko. Looks like a majano to me. Plus the baby bubble tip description gives it away.

I looked at it with the lights off, and it had drawn in like a coral, does the majano do that as well?

yea, it will draw in without light.
as for anenomes not doing well under pc's, i had one that got about 8" diameter, and another that got about 9" diameter under pc's. you just need to supplement with meaty foods.

Could be a Ric, check out this pic of a blue ric I have.
It is very similar to that. I have still not settled on its ID. It could be a ric or a BTA. It is growing, so hopefully I can ID it soon. It still hasn't reproduced though, so I am leaning against it being a majano(knock on wood).

The color is a little bluer, and it's tips are getting more bubble-like. Here is a picture from yesterday:

Are we getting closer to a positive ID?

I still say that with the really short, almost round inner "fingers" along with the longer ones out near the edge and the fact that is hasnt gotten taller its a ric.

Its base is deep in the rock, so that at night, I can't see it at all. It had to grow quite a bit to make it to the surface. My other ric doesn't shrink THAT much. You may be right, I am still watching it. As long as it isn't a majano, I like it.
