Pls help identify thing.

I've noticed that on some of my LR, there is the white cottonbal type of "stuff" growing on it.
It's currently on 2 or 3 of my rocks..
It litterally looks like a diluted cottonball.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

I have noticed them in my tank, they have like a hole in the center of them and look like the end of a qtip? I have no idea what they are. maybe someone will answer. I do have one that is quite large under my frogspawn.

Hey thanks Bang Guy, I have sponges then. (the pineapple looking things)
And Tang Man I also have the cotton ball looking things, not sure what it is, sorry, I'm trying to find out myself.
