but i am constantly adding phytoplex and microvert along with other nutrients all the time. when i look closer in their bodies there tummys are green which im guessing is the phtoplex and macro algae in my tank.
do u think i should remove the clown goby and just get a mandarin? i have always wanted one...

I would say you could add a mandarin,,, with only 3 fish in there, it shouldnt be to many especially when you have a supply of pods for it,,,and if no one else is eating them.

god no, not in a 12 gallon... the pods will die off, as will the mandarin after it eats all them... come on...

No the mandarin can eat hundreds a day and there is not enought live rock to support an on-going pod population with one.
I believe there is some other fish that will eat them but don't rely on just pods to survive so maybe you can research and get a different fish.

Your size tank might be pushing it a bit but you might be able to get a small wrasse of some sort. There are some really cute small ones that would probably eat the pods. A mandarin would wipe those out in like a week and then it would starve. I don't know what kind would work the best though. Maybe some people can chime in and give some ideas.
