i just tested wate.r it's been going for about a week or so and a couple days ago i added some eelgrass and a couple tiny tubeworms.
the results..
ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - about 10
ph - 8.2
i figure i could talk my parents into getting a pair or two (the more the better) within the next week or so hopefully..
FYI: the water is from a year+ old tank. so no, it's not just been cycled for a week..i was just making sure it was stable.
the filter seems to be keeping the tank perfectly clear, though it doesn't look like much.
i'm going to try and get some lights for the tank aswell for the eelgrass. if possible, i'd liek to get some gorgos and try to go all-natural. it would be sweet if i could ifnd some live mysis somewhere..

goodie! i can get some of those when i get the horses. there usually cheap. and i got like 15 bucks to spend on either lights (if my parents don't pay for it) or shrimp/extra junk i don't really need.

I just cleaned out my 2.5 wich i'm gonna use for brine shrimp. i'm going to attempt to breed them in there and just feed them lots of phytoplankton/etc instead of having newborns every day wich could get expensive and anoying my my parents
i'll probably set it up tonight or tomorrow and start raising some shrimpies.

PICS today..this sounds interesting, and i have a question(not trying to hijack), but do you think I could add 1 or 2 dwarf ponies to my 5gallon sexy shrimp, bumble bee shrimp, and pompom crab pico..and another thing are the dwarfs okay with zoanthids or no? the pompom I would get if I get one will be w/o a nem

anyway yeah if i can find the stupid cord i do have some pics, including the brine shrimp tank. i need to add some more sand to the bbs tank cause i can't get enough sand to keep the plants down.
and clownfish11, i wouldn't put dwarves in with a crab, i don't know about the shrimps but the crab will probably be an issue.
and dwarves with zoas..i don't think so. there so small a zoa might grab onto them but i'm not for sure. zoas are fine with large horses though.
