Here is a rough draft drawing of my stand design. The color is actually going to be birch w/polyurathane. I like the natural look.

If dogstar ever sees this thread again..... I must say I really love your stand/canopy for your 180... what kind of wood and paint did you use?? Is that black some sort of satin finish?? what color is the other... some sort of cherry or something??

Not the greatest shots but you get the idea. Its a 100 Gallon Cube so its 30 by 30 by 25 high.
