You don't have to have the blue led lights at night, but many pc lights now have them built in, and on a reverse timer it adds to the viewing pleasure - night. They also help put some fish "in the mood" if ya know what I mean. I'm glad I have them, and if yours has them, let me know what you think!

Thanks for noticing!!
I have 1 powerhead aimed towards it so it keeps a little bit of current going thru it. The only fish that really goes in it is my fridmani dottyback. If you've ever taken one out of a tank by its top you notice that all the water stays in, but if you tip it upside down and pull it out the water falls right out. I have a "for tank use only" turkey baster I use to feed some of the inhabitants, and when I do water changes I also squirt a little water in there just to make sure nothing is in there. It does add a little bit of eye candy to the tank, and provides a great hiding spot for the little ones when they need it.

Well, as promised, here are some actinics pics. I don't think I'll even try the lunar pics...these were hard enough to get decent shots of, but we'll see.

It has been a couple days now since I set up my new lights on my tank. I did not realise how much water would evaporate each day. Other than that I am quite happy.

Wow, I didn't realize you could keep such wonderful reef tanks with PC Lighting. These pics are amazing!
Thanks for sharing.
BTW - any suggestions on PC lighting for 125 gallon tank? I've got space limitations on one side of my tank so, I wasn't going to be able to do MH.

What type of MH is this? I've never seen these. Kind of cool.
I thought I'd have to get lighting that would cover the top of the entire tank. :notsure: I'm still learning so have patience with me.
