power head covers

I was wondering, do they make anything to cover the powerhead's where it sucks the water in, every time I put blood worms into the tank the PH suck them in and shoot them across the whole tank, then my fish..almost like sharks go into a frenzy going after the flying worm parts.

There are prefilters for power heads. I know maxijets have them. I'm sure the other brands make some sort of prefilter as well. Nothing wrong with shooting worms like that. BTW i would stop feeding your salt fish blood worms. Not their natural fare. Its a strictly fresh water food....

If you decide to go with a prefilter remember to keep it clean.... You could turn off the powerheads for a few minutes while they eat.
