Power went out!!!

My power went out 4 hours ago and is expected to stay off for another 4 cuz they are doing work on the electrical stuff down the street. Will my fish be fine?

temp is stable at 79. THeres no way i could get one. i have no money to buy. could something really ad happen? thers no way i could plug anything in, wont work

I have never had this happen, I think keeping the water moving and cool is important.
Do you have the tank covered?
Maybe a battery op fan you could blow on it

Use something your hand as a last resort and circulate your water in your tank every half hour you should me fine for a total of 8 hrs

We recently lost power for 10 hours and my take pulled through ok,only remove your top if you are sure that none of your fish are jumpers otherwise youll be chasing them on the floor in the dark

A converter is an inexpensive item that can save you....It can not run a lot, but it can run a powerhead and a heater if need be
MUCH cheaper than a generator
You should look into getting one
I have 2 inverters and a generator

You can get a small on for about $20 that will at least run a powerhead....next time you go to a Walmart, look in the camping section. It will plug into your cig lighter
The bigger ones hook onto your car battery...they start at $70 and up
If money is an issue, at least try to get the cig lighter one
