I wouldn't. Chances are there's been some type of flavor enhancer/seasoning added, besides the meat being flash steamed.
What fish do you want to feed the crab to? If you live somewhere near a coast, chances are there a bait shop around, and they always have live fiddler crabs. Depending on your opinion on live feeding, you could obviously feed live, or kill the crab yourself.

no.
if you cant find live, you wont find raw, its illeagle to sell dead uncooked shellfish.
if you cant find live skip crab and go for another type of meat, jsut about any white/light fish meat at hte seafood counter will work. tillapia haddock hake, etc.

I live no where near the coast.
I mainly wanted to find some to add to my fishes variety of foods. My town is tiny I can't even find raw/live clams. Just frozen raw shrimp

There is nothing wrong with frozen raw shrimp. The key word is RAW. Anything that is sea food and raw will be good food for your fish. Always thaw and rinse before feeding of course.

Around here you can find dead shellfish. Remember the term includes shrimp and lobster, etc, and that stuff can always be found freshly dead.
Avoid tillapia, it's a freshwater fish. It can live in salt, brackish and fresh, but the stuff at the market comes from fresh..... I asked all of them in the area.

I wouldn't feed pre-cooked.
Here in NY, raw dead shellfish is easy to find.
I just recently started feeding salmon to my fish and they love it. That's an easy fish to find. (thanks for that recommendation Cranberry)

It's really high in fats, so be careful with it. But everyone loves it here as well, for a treat. The oils in it are fantastic. After I feed them the first bite, they press their noses against the glass waiting for piece #2.
I've heard some rubblings about parasites and the farmed Salmon. I'm trying to read up on that a little bit and have several aquaculture books on the way to me. I know farmed are full of cooties, but I don't know if it's enough to be concerned about. I feed wild but there is a HUGE HUGE difference in the nutritional profile of farmed verses wild.... the farmed it like a Flinestone vitamin.
And I agree to not used cooked.

I just wanted to make sure my fish get good variety in their diets. Since I live in a tiny town raw dead shellfish is not easy to come by. In my entire town only walmart carries any and its all cooked except for the shrimp.
At the moment. I use raw shrimp, mysis shrimp, Hikari Marine -S-, Nutra Plus, Selcon, and nutra kol.
Nutra Plus is a filter feeder/nutrient rich paste, Nutra Kol is an overall diet with brine, mysis, algaes and other bits in it.
I normally soak my raw shrimp for an hour after I thaw/wash it and chop it into bits for my fish. It goes from gray to a bright orange after I soak it and the fish really seem to like it. I only soak it twice a week though, the rest of the time I give mysis and plain raw shrimp with pellets.

All I have is a Walmart also....I just buy the frozen raw shrimp, thaw it...rinse it in cool water and feed it to the stingray
Mine never turns any colors when thawing though.....make sure you are soaking in cold water

I didn't mean it turns color from washing it. Sorry
I goofed.
I mean it turns orange because the paste I soak it in, is orange.

.
I'll bet this just applies to clams, mussels, oysters, etc, which have gone bad if they are dead in the shell. Fresh/frozen , shucked oysters, crab, shrimp, and other shellfish are available almost anywhere....and I really live in the boonies.

it is probably not the best for their stomach, but as an occasional food and not a staple i would say you are okay.
I fed my Snowflake eel cooked shrimp for a long time until i realized i could get it raw and it has had no problems
