I am puzzled by a problem with my reef setup. The tank is a 75 gal w/85 lbs live rock.. established about 7 months ago. Well... I went to a RO system.. and as soon as I changed over, all of my inverts started dying.. I mean EVERYTHING.. starfish, corals, snails... I'm trying to figure it out.. I got in my test kit today for copper.. and nothing.. I treated a ich problem in a hospital tank.. I'm just trying to find out what could have killed all my inverts.. I suspected it to be copper, cause all the fish looked the best they have looked in weeks. I have 2X150 MH 2X130 PC acintic lighting. Now i'm not so sure. How can all my inverts die, and my fish not look affected if it's not copper?.. are inverts sensitive to higher water temps? I now suspect my salinity was low with 1.022.. i know it should have been 1.025/35ppt.. but would that wipe everything out?
