Problems With Tiny Shrimp

I have many hundreds of tiny shrimp in my tank with nothing to reduce there numbers. I only have one damsel in the tank along with a couple of shrimp and crabs. Do I need another fish to control the shrimp population or is it ok to have this many baby shrimp? and what fish should I get to keep them under control?

The Mysids are harmless. Their population will climb & fall. Next month you might not see any only to see them in mass again the month after.

Hey Bang - can the same thing happen with pods? I was fearing something was killing them off.

Bang - its funny you say that...last night he got on my leather coral and a puff of white smoke surround my leather. I didnt know what was going on so I took the slug for a little ride to the back door!! He only came out after the lights went out anyway and I wasnt wanting to take any chances. This is the closest pic to the top that I have. What made you think he is a leather eater?
