Project 70

hot: I went with the tall over the longer tanks because of space restraints. I was actually going to get a 58 but then decided the 70 (which is the same exact footprint) would mean more water so easier to maintain stability. In addition... I like the height to length ratio of this tank, reminds me of HDTV.

Dru: I love the bird's nest too, it is still doing well. I am using Fiji Gold supplement which builds Ca and ALK. I was using this on my 29 and it worked well. I will most likely go to bi-onic when this is done, since the Fiji Gold adds trace stuff that I don't test for... wouldn't want things to get out of whack. But, like I said, I have used it for a while now and so far so good. SO, who knows? :D
Yesterday's parameters:
Temp: 80.1°, Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 0, pH: 8.4, Phosphate: 0, Calcium 480 ppm, Carbonate Hardness: 9 dKH, Salinity: 33 ppt

One added benefit to going with the 36" tank...
My single MH pendant seems to give good coverage, I plan on keeping high light lovers in the center and shrooms and whatnot on the edges.

A four foot tank wouldn't fit the space I have for the tank. But I do really like the length to height ratio of the 70 anyway, reminds me of HDTV.

Picked up a sweet R. yuma today for my birthday. I'll post up a picture when it is done acclimating.

It's a 29 gallon tank, how much water is actually in it, I'm not sure. It is filled to 10", but I have a lot of sand in the 'fuge area.
