Protein Skimmer not working!

I am looking for some help for my Protein Skimmer - it no longer puts any 'foam' in the cup. I have had it set up for 2 years. What do I need to do to it? I have cleaned tubing and filter. Do I ever need to empty it and restart it? Thank you!

It is a Sea Clone skimmer and I do not THINK I have ever put my hand in with residual soap.... I take it that would be a no no~? Wonder what else I need to do... to make it 'foam'??

There's your problem, ditch the Seaclone....

If it worked for two years, it should continue. You should clean it of excess film and then open the pump motor and inspect the impeller. Make sure the air passages are open and not clogged with calcium deposits. Although the SeaClone may not be the greatest, I remember the manufacturer has improved it since you bought yours. Maybe check their website.
