Pulsing Xenia Propagation Experiment

1) are "kenya trees" a type of xenia?
ive got a few cuttings that are trying to grab onto rock but they grabed small pebbles first and havent grown big enough to be able to grab rock. this was an accidental frag when i first got the rock.
I am going to get some pulsating xenia soon and wish to frag those into little forrests. i think they just look amazing.
2) are they the same technique?
3) Can I use the same technique on mushrooms?

To all you Xenia fans. do this little experiment.
Xenia is what got me into this addiction so I can certainly appreciate when someone gets bitten by the "God help me!!! I will get them to pulse!!"
Sparing hijacking this thread into a 3 foot long dissertation on my trials and research (not a pro, just was almost driven crazy by Xenia a few years back) this is the nitty gritty.
If Xenia arent pulsing, give them more 10k light. dont believe? me take a frag, toss it in a plastic bag and hold it closer and closer to a 10k lightsource, they WILL pulse regardless of water flow/quality/elements/ect we all normally live and die by (within reason of course). Just keep an eye on temp being so close to the light. They are tollerent but I normally run tank at 74, they were pulsing from 74-80 with no real preference to temp, flow, salinity, ect, they just love 10k and lots of it.
OK thats my two cents worth and please remeber I am a self proclaimed Idiot...yes notice the capital I. but hope this helps someone out there thats in that infamous rut of trying 600 ways to get them to pulse again. Thank you to everyone for bearing with my ramblings.

Also- as for Kenya Tree, they are incredibly durable. I always refrain from anything that feels evil. Taking a blade and cutting 1/2 cuttings from the branches always feels aweful, but they heal and grow like mad no matter what happens to them.
We all do things differently and feel differently about cutting methods and practices, but with Kenya I can attest that you could use a dang blender on pulse setting and they will survive and the pieces will thrive.

Krazy glue has worked great for me. Takes two minutes to stick. It was recommended to me by my LFS. No problems with it what so ever.
