purple tang attacking blueface angel

i just bought a new blueface angel and my purple just went nuts and is attacking him bad my blue face has only been in the tank for about 2 hours and he is hiding in the corner of the tank the blue face is about 3-4 in and the purple is about 2 in i dont know what to do they are in a hundred gallon tank

I have heard (or read) turning the lights out could help

Or possibly rearranging some rock

yeah i turned out the lights before i put any fish in to the tank and i also feed them before put new fish in and also moved rocks some i am thinking about putting in a five gallon bucket for the night with a heater and a little power head.

I'll give it less than two weeks before the angel turns that table. a 3-4" blue face is not going to be intimidated by a 2" purple tang but for so long.

yeah i decide to leave the purple tang in the tank i turned on the lights of the tank the blueface was swimming around the purple had a big bite mark on his face but they've both cooled down and are leaving each other alone

+1 the angel just needs to get his courage up.
if the purple keeps it up put him in the sump over night
and rearrange the rocks again
once the angel feels more comfortable he wont take it anymore and they will be fine.
my achilles went nuts when i added my fowleri 3 hrs later dont bother him anymore.
