Put on your shades

Got a few new fish today like I said I was in another thread. They seem to be doing good after acclimating for two hours. The fake corals and these fish are really bright so put on your glasses. There are two Dispar Anthias and one Spotted-Lined Flasher.
Just fed them and all three are eating mysis and cyclops. They seem to be very comfortable in these colored fake corals.

Thanks Krista - i am so happy these guys are actually swimming around normally - not like the last wrasse I got. They are going to add some punch to the reef tank, I wanted to get three anthias but they only had two, he said more are coming in. THey have a big 250 plus display tank at the LFS and they have a schol of nine of these anthias - really neat to watch them.

Ok the wrasse has wedged himself into the fake coral - is that normal for night tme lights off.

I think so my yellow sided would do this when lights when out. Actually, I think most of my fish do this.

For the most part Flasher wrasse do not require a sandbed to bury themselves into as they will go into the rockwork and surround themselves with a mucous cocoon when sleeping.

Thanks again eveyone, the wrasse and the anthias are doing great, they are eating mysis no problem. Now my next question so far, knock on wood I do not see any spots or anything, should I still do hypo on them, what do you guys think?

Thanks meowzer - really happy with them and I love the low maintenance coral. Now I don't know but the fish seem really comfortable around it - I also have a 4" ABS tee that they hide in as well. I wanted three dispar but they only had two. They said they might get more in so I am going to wait till I see if I can get the third one before I start hypo. Big difference this QT than the last but that wrasse died because of something else beyond my control - I think anyways. This should almost finish my tank.

I love the fish, Anthias are ticky...I wouldn't stress them unless I had to. Just keep an eye out, and if they pass and not show signs, I would leave them alone and not do Hypo just to be doing it. JMO

How do you treat ticks on fish FLower, J/K my friend - I am beginning to think that I should just leave them alone for a bit.

I looked at them on line and I don't think that pictures really give them justice, their doral fins are amazing dark reds and yellow. The spotted lined flasher is unbelievably beautiful his doral fin is stunning - they are going to look great in the DT.

GREAT....never showed a sign of anything....eats like a piggie...and has had a blast in its sand box...LOL
