Q on Lemon juice on Aiptasia

the other thing i always wanted to try but never did was i bought a vacume attachment that necks down from the regualr 2 1/2" tube to about the side of my pinky finger. If i see anymore im going to try and suck out of its hole just to see what happens. thats a crazy amount of suction and i don't believe they will be able to hold onto thier hole against it. and if they blow thier spawn i'll just be sucking that up too. i'll do this like flower said during a water change so it won't affect my water levels.
If i see anymore i'll let you know how it went. its been a while since Ive had them after my erradication with the lime paste though. not really expecting any at this point.
Flower, thats what i always heard is if you injure them they spread. i did notice while doing my pasting I tried just sucking them out of the hole with the turkey baster. i did get a couple this way, but for the most part inneffective. but when you hurt them this stringy stuff comes out. i don't know if thats the spawn or just part of it i hurt.

I've used lemon Juice on them. I had some that come on some live rock, used insulin needle and it killed them both. Didn't hurt anything in my tank.

I also heard that aiptasia spawns if you make it angry or hurt it. That is the answer I always get...someone HEARD it was true. I am just wondering if it is, or if it's a folk tale.

Flower, I will let you know in a few days if they multiply.
I am starting to have an issue in one of the 55s and I boiled water AND lemon juice together. All of the little baby ones have not resurfaced since yesterday but a few of the BIG ones are half back. They are all skinny and clear though now...
Also, all of my corals seem very happy, even my zoas who got shot.

and thanks for sharing. I am going to try the Mrs. Wages pickling lime and make my own aiptasia X. I have the syringes from the stuff I purchased for $17.00 a tiny bottle. The aiptasia X worked great but was soooo expensive. The ones I zapped did not return, but more popped up elsewhere.
I found another today after killing 3, it is the one I couldn't find...little ----%*#@
I keep telling myself I am not going to take that top off for 1, I am not going to do it. WILL power.

If I had any will power when it comes to Saltwater, I would have 1 small tank, with a few smaller fish and I wouldn't be paying upwards of 20 bucks for wet rocks that have brightly colored goo on them....
