question about anemones???

Asexual reproduction. Budding and Splitting are very common in the phylum Cnidaria (jellyfish, sea anemones, corals, hydroids, and relatives).

They also can reproduce sexually. The males release sperm into the water column and the females follow with eggs. This sometimes happens in captivity, not common, not rare. When it does happen massive water changes are in order to remove the excess nutrients in the water. They release plenty to crash a tank if it's not taken care of.

Either wait to see what's released when they send out their gametes or do an autopsy to find the --- glands (probably fatal).
