question about brain corals

Hey everyone i just picked up a open brain coral i believe.. green in the middle and red on the outside.. anyways i just wanted to ask if its normal for them to pulse alot? or are they not happy? thanks

nice coral. i dont think its pulsing. its more like water movement.

I don't think it's water movment it's in a low flow area. I'll take a look at it again.

Thanks everyone!! I've been eyein him for the past few weeks. This local reefer gives awesome prices. I can't stop going there every week. Haha.
Ya he fed it a silverside every week so I gotta pick some up. So do I just put it in the middle of it and it will take care of the rest or chop it up and use a turkey baster? Thanks

nice color you got a good one!! I feed mine shrimp like I would get at the store for myself and my muri-color one can eat a hole shrimp once a week it eats fast so I don't have a problem with the food getting taken from it but my green one is slow so I cover it with a clear plastic tub with holes in it for feeding time
