Question about compatibility.

Hi, I'm wondering if the following fish would be appropriate for a 100 gallon aquarium:Fish:
2 Percula Clown Fish
1 Yellow Tang
1 Powdered Blue Tang
1 Orangeback Basslet
2 Yellow Clown Goby's
1 Fox face

Inverts:
5 cleaner clams
3 cleaner shrimp
1 pistol shrimp
Will there be any compatibility issues?
I'm also thinking about doing a coral setup with some different sponges. I still haven't decided what yet, I have a lot of time on my hands to plan out my aquarium.

powder blue needs a larger tank. I would think 3 yellows would fight in that limited of space but have no personal experience to back that up. The clown gobies may be hard to spot in a 100 gallon.

I'm no expert, but I think that's too many tangs....maybe go with 1 yellow
I had 2 yellow clown gobies in my 225G they were always out....BUT when I got SPS corals..they killed them...so let's just say I no longer have any clown gobies in my 225G...LOL

Okay, so I've knocked off two of the yellows down to one yellow, and one powder blue tang.
Is 8 fish too many for a tank this size?
What about the inverts I listed? Would you say they are compatible with the fish i've listed? Sorry for all the questions, I really don't want to ruin my chances at a beautiful reef.

Always remember that the LFS is trying to make money, we are not. Powder blues get large and very aggressive. It probably could survive in a 100(for a while) I would not keep one in anything smaller than a 180.

Unless they really care about you(not *****,petsmart types).I have a great ma and pa,family owned place that i have trusted forever.If you are fortunate enough to have one near you,please visit and give them your buisness

Yea, I do. Around here it's a family owned shop that specializes in salt water marine life (coral, anemones, etc.)
so would 1 yellow tang be okay then? I guess I won't get a powdered blue tang if it's really not safe for the fish to be in a 100 gal. (I want them to have a pleasant new home, not just have them for the color or appeal.)
What could I substitute in place of the powder blue tang?

What types of corals would you be wanting? If you want sponge, you can not get angels or butterfly's

No angels or butterflies for me. I was thinking about getting some Leather Toadstools, Birds Nests, Blue Chalice Echinopora, and Chili Coral.
I plan on having live rock in the tank possibly with some sponges (although I have no idea what kind, any ideas?).

If you plan on SPS (birds nest) forget the yellow clown gobies....they will sit in them and something about that kills them....
No suggestions on the sponge...I had a yellow tree sponge once...it died after a while...IDK why
ALSO...if you plan on having SPS you will need good lights...not pc's

I have a 400 watt Metal halide, is that okay?
also, no one mentioned anything about the Fox Face, with that be okay, taking into account its size?

OH YEAH that will be fine...
IDK anything about Foxface...some are venomous, and they say reef safe with caution....whatever that means....LOL

How about getting a reef-safe wrasse instead of the Powder Blue? Or perhaps a small school of Anthias? I'm not totally sure about the Anthias in a 100 gallon, but I think there are some kinds that stay sorta small.

Maybe a pair of sixline wrasse's would do in place of the tang?

I'm not sure if you can put two sixlines together. Personally, in a tank that big, why go with a generic sixline when there's so many prettier wrasses out there? JW.
Also, what about a Kole tang if you really want tangs? I've heard they stay small, but I'd have to let someone else chime in on that one. Don't jump on that one until you hear someone else say it would be safe, since I've never had a tank big enough for any tang. lol

Any of the bristletooth tangs would work. Just wait a few months until there is ample algae growth for it to graze.
