Question about my Yellow Tang??

Hi,
I came home from work yesterday and discovered a dark red line on his body and thought it was a cut and was concerned. I've also noticed that he was hyper and was freaking out. He would swim really fast from one place to another then hide behind the rocks. This morning I woke up and checked him out and everything seems to be fine. The dark red line disappered and he also seems healthy and stable. Can anyone tell me what is the deal with my Yellow Tang?
Thanks,
Tony

Sorry I'm new at this, what do you mean by grounded? Are you talking about if it is on the ground? If so, it's on a stand..
I have a 55 gallon tank
30 lbs live rock
1 3" yellow Tang
1 2" Dot Dash
1 1" Maroon Clown
1 1" Scooter Bleny

Do you use a grounding probe? Its an instrucment used in the hobby to "catch" stray voltage that our hobby equiptment produces. Tangs particualarly are highly sensitive to stray voltage in the aquarium.
What type of tank do you have your tang in; size, reef, FO, etc? What are your water readings, including nitrates and phosphates? When is the last time you did a water change? How long have you had the tang and have you noticed any aggression going on in your tank?

I do not use the grounding probe, should I be? I have a 55gl setup for about 1 month now and nitrite level=0, Amonia=0 and nitrate=10, PH=8.4. I have a fish only tank and I have the yellow Tang for a little over a week. the tang is eating like crazy escpecially on the Nori. I also have a Dot Dash Butterfly and a Maroon Clown. The Tang and the Dot Dash likes to swim together meanwhile the clown also in hiding.
