im unable to post pics right now so ill describe as best i can. the coral is mostly growing from under my solid coraline rock. it grows all over but seems to have started there. its tubular and about as round as a thin straw. its white in color below the rocks but as it grows out and up it turns brown and often splits at the ends. i was wondering what this is and if its good or bad. also i clipped a piece and put it in my nano tank. it fell to the bottom and was covered in sand in about 1 day. its been 4 weeks and now is growing up through the sand and attaching to a rock. any info?

it def not aptasia or dusters
my tank is already covered in dusters
this grows tall and is not an anemone
some pieces are up to 9 inches long and it usually starts from a white blob-like coral

I know you said it's not, but every time I read your post I keep picturing it...

im workin on gettin a pic up in the next hour with the help of my blackberry. its def not apitasia. its not an anemone of any kind and not a duster. these are single pieces of coral that grow out and up from my coraline rock. they are white at the bottom,up to 9 inches long, brown twards the top and split at the ends where they are also white. just a while for pic

if its easy enough ill post multiple picks. its like little trees growing. when i transfered the tank after i bought it i had no idea and cleaned ALOT of it off my rocks before i realized it might be cool. same with my duster colony.
