Question when selecting a skimmer

I currently have a 120 I am going to set up with a 55 gallon fuge, 25 gallon LR tank and a 30 gallon sump. Do I select a skimmer that will work for a 120 or do I add all the water volume together and get a larger skimmer?

kind of both and neither. the sump doesn't really attribute to the bioload but it does effect the amount of water processed for hour. then how big you go really depends on how optimistic the ratings are. I wouldn't use anything rated for less than 180g. what skimmers in particular are you at.

Well with the tank came a Kent Nautilus TE. I asked people on here how it was on equipment forum but didn't get ONE response. If its not good I will prob sell it and upgrade. It is BRAND NEW. Suggestions?
