You are the only person I have heard of that has a nova with actual individual reflectors. How long ago did you get your fixture? Are the reflectors still the simple 2 bend design?

for your information I have a tek 6 lamp t5 fixture and had it apart several times the reflectors are seperate but lay on top of each other as you described the nova extreme pro vvvvvvvv so if its one piece or individuals that lay on each other right across it is the same concept also im not impressed with the way tek its built and the fact that everything is extra legs, splashshield ,lamps I also have a nova extreme with a single reflector and have to say its pretty impressive what you can keep under it I have had a corcea under it for over a year looks better than the day I got it

At some point Sunlight changed the design. The Tek lights now have a single unit reflector (Might be two pieces) that is molded into parabolic reflectors for each lamp. They list replacements on their website.

Sorry, but I still havent had a clear answer on this question. Would it be ok to put T5 bulbs in the hood the aquarium comes with?
Here is my take
Modify your hood to
e able to fit it. I cut two slits along the sides of my hood to the the fans a good flow. Unless you do this you WILL NOT
be even able to fit the canopy on.

Well, it all comes down to personal pref and what "we" like I want to have anems well sps and lps andd I can not do that with the nova ep which is too bad because it is a sporty looking light and cheap enough. The oddyssea I have been reading about a lot called them and they say they only have a 1% return on them ( thats got to be crap ) they also only have a 30 day warranty. Anyway I am looking into prices on tek and still looking for the right light the odd seems like if I was one of the lucky ones would be a killer light but it might be a killer in a way such as a house fire.
