Yes! IMHO it is the next best to RO/DI. Actually, if you can find distilled that says "steam processed" it is a little better then regular distilled. And BTW beaslbob...

Tap is OK to use as long as you set your deck on fire and use it to put the fire out. IMO RO/DI is the best way to go. $100.00 for an RO/DI unit and you have an endless supply of nice pure lab grade (almost) water to use on your tank.
Of all the things that could go wrong why deal with it?
