His daughter is young enough that she won't even remember him and has no concept of death yet. It's sad that he's gone but she will be fine.
Except that she's being denied having a true father in her life, something that often ends up with less than desired consequences for children.

Whatever, I deleted my previous posts. Seems like everyone's made up their minds that because the papanatzi put "sleeping p.ills were found on the night stand" in their reports that he's now some druggie loser that offed himself. It amazes me how" quick to judge" and unforgiving some people can be and I'm not going waste my time to debate a losing battle. Have a lovely evening.

I've not read anything from tabloid press. what I read was a quote from an NYPD spokesman that said the death appeared to have been drug related. so whether it was suicidal or accidental, if it was drug related, it was selfish to cheat his daughter like that.

I haven't made up my mind about anything, I just think that not having a father often ends up bad, no matter what the cause. The kid won't just be alright because she never really knew him, it's that whole positive male role model thing...

Chill New york. I liked his movies also. But what makes you think that Heath wasn't depressed?? Why are you so quick to judge that it was some kind of mistake or something???

That is very sad. I liked him in "A knights Tale". He was a good actor. I make no assumptions about whether it was accidental or a suicide. Having known someone who has committed suicide, I won't judge someone even if they did.

The reason I said this is because my Uncle died in an accidental drowning leaving behind a wife a 5 mnth old son and a 6yr old daughter. Of course my family was sad about the initial loss but his kids grew up without a father and today are fine. His son is 11 and his daughter is 18. They had a great family) including postive male role models) and a great support system, and today are straight A students and terrific well rounded kids. If the other parent "steps up" and the family support system is there, IMO...she will be fine. Of course they talk about their dad from time to time and pictures of them all together are kept in the home and such, they visit his grave on holidays, birthdays, etc...., but it is no longer a mournful topic, it's one that remembers him for the way he lived not the way he died.

Sometimes the press just really burns my behind, the way they "spin" things, sorry if anyone was offended.

I am sorry to see him leave this world. Looking forward to the new Batman movie. It will surely bring in the tickets now that he is gone.
I would wish that people would look more into the fact about those prescription drugs. This happens too often. Happened with Anna Nicole and her son. I am sure thousands more but it doesn't get much attention since the person wasn't popular. Those lobbyists for the pharmaceutical corps just seem to hush things up after this is. Big money. Can't have a statement saying that sleeping

should not be given to a depressed person.
I tell ya, having

I felt like somedays I just wanted to go to sleep and be done with it. Esp. when there was a bump in life. It is too easy to just take a little extra and be done with it. But, I hope he didn't do this intentionally. I think while you are on medication for depression, you really don't think like you would when off of them.
I have been just trying to live in the now. Like the Dog Whisperer. I love that show. Tomorrow will be a glorious day!

The key to a good milz is deleting the post before someone has a chance to quote you.

Drug use is a selfish act. Unless proven to be an accident, I stand by my initial outburst. (I really do enjoy Heath bars) I can't truly say that I hate the guy because I didn't know him. I do, however, hate the idea that he abandoned his family rather than deal with life. Again, if it turns out to be an accident I recant the whole thing.

Wow. Just googled it and....nothing.
Anyway it was made famous by some dude going back and deleting posts. Sometimes just removing the type and replacing it with ...

I can tell you that my wife's mother died in a hit-and-run when my wife was three years old. She, indeed, turned out great. She is a college graduate, has a successful career, is a great person and a dang fine mother to our daughter. With that in mind, it can not be dismissed that growing up without a mother was not easy and continues to be a struggle. There are always reminders of when her mom is not there. Times like our wedding, birth of our child, graduation ceremonies, mother-daughter days, etc are among those reminders. While the end result of "she'll be fine" is true, the definition of 'fine' is hard to quantify. My wife's mother died due to the negligence of someone else. It appears that Mr. Ledger apparently died due to his own negligence and for that his family will be forced to suffer for years to come.

More money than a normal person could spend, women lining up to, well you know. Let's hope it wasn't an OD or suicide. That would make the guy a loser. Sorry but I had no sympathy for A N Smith to Kurt Cobain. Everybody has issues but when you have the resources to deal with it and don't

The reports I've seen say that they didnt necessarily think it was a suicide, just an accidental overdose of sleeping

[hr]
.
That said, I guess I am the only one out there that doesnt think this guy had any talent whatsoever. He was horrible in The Patriot and he was even worse in A Knights Tale. I didnt see Brokeback Mountain so I can't comment on that, but I just dont see what all the hype is about with this guy.

Not really, but I waste it on the internet anyway.

It was 3 hours later where you are. Up pretty late surfing, and on this morning already. Maybe we both have too much free time.

This guy might have been on the cusp of greatness. This Batman movie might have done it.. He died to young ala RIVER PHOENIX and we all end up pondering the future of what he could have bought us in the thespian arts.. While you may not felt or needed to respect his life or creative field, try to at least respect his passing by not being so callous. My 2 cents..
