My Raccoon butterfly looks like it has 2 scales that are slightly raised with the possibility of a small red spot...did not see any pics in the disease thing...any ideas?
Are you sure that another fish did not bite him or he didn't scrape on a rock? Do the scales look like they are bent out or does it look like the red bump is pushing the scales out?

I haven't seen any other fish bite him....the red is very faint, and behind the scale...and the fish has been rubbing the spot against rocks...like scratching it.
Like I said this is the fish that came with ******...That went away...2 days ago my copperband got a spot of it (they came together btw) on its mouth, and last night it just laid down and died....I think I just got 2 bad fish...
YES I am going to get a QT....It is on my list....
you are deffinently not having much luck with fish, how long have you had them, the copperband was likely to perish as they are a hard one to keep!, how are all the other fish going in hypo? you must have alot of tanks with all these fish!
I don't have any fish in hypo....Maybe you have me confused with someone else..LOL...I have 2 sw tanks, a 54g with a couple of seahorses and a few fish, and a 225g with the tangs and such...The problems I am having is since I got the butterfly fish.
