Here are a few random shots from 3 tanks
Bubble in the 225G

Purple acro in the 225G

Crocea and green striped shrooms in 225G

Pink Tube anemone in 225G

Red Blastos 225G

Sexy shrimp in 29G...with mini anemone and gold maxima

Better pic of gold maxima in the 29G

Leather tree frag...currently in 29G

Chili Coral in 54g (bow front.....hard to get pic of ) For some reason it stayed open all day today

Those blastos and anemone are AWESOME!
try taking a few pics in TV mode set aperature to 1/150 (or higher) and the ISO on either 800 or 1600 with no flash and see if you don't get a little better color since you can get some pretty good pics without the flash. flash kinda washes out some of the color and turns it yellowish.
Is that chili coral in the shade? or it deosnt really matter? I always thought you had to ahve them in the dark more or less.

The chili coral is off to the side....usually never is open during the day...it was all day today for some reason
I have no clue what tv mode is...LOL..or the other things you mention.....the camera is in the other room now, and all lights are out, so I will have to look at it tomorrow

yeah, I have a canon too. there should be a dial on the top right. you likley have it on the green rectangle which lets the camera do everything for you.
switch it to the letters that say TV, right above the green rectange and then spin the dial on the front right near where you press the button to take a picture, the dail will adjust your apperature up and down, get it to someting about 1/150 or more and then shoot some pics and see if you don't get some better color without the flash. If they come out too dark then decrease the number to something like 1/80 and try again, play with it a little and you'll see what i'm talking about.
I'm getting some free side elassons from a local photographer thats in my feef club, he's showed me some really nice stuff and I havn't even gotten to shooting in RAW mode yet, which is how you really get some awesome shots by adjusting everything to your liking on the computer instead of letting the camera do the processing. More work per photo of course, but on good shots it'll be worth it.

Ha, never even noticed the lawnmower behind the blastos the first ten times I looked at it. the blastos are just so amaing they pull you in.

LOL...Thanks I love them too.....tomorrow I will get a shot of the other blastos....they are purple and green
I'll check out the camera dial tomorrow....right now my eyes are getting really tired....so I am going to bed....GOOD NITE

ohh and to change the ISO its the little button that says ISO right behind the dial up front. The lower the ISO number the clearer the picture, but the higher the ISO the more light it is able to grab. so I do most shot without a falsh between 800 and 3200
Always pick the lowest number you can and still get the light you need. Seems to usually be 1600 for most tak shots Ive noticed, so I start there.
when you are taking pics of toher things like family when you have the flash going then turn the ISO way down to 400 or so.

my galaxia used to have feelers like that, but now he doesnt do that anymore. I dunno why.

Cause then it would be able to reach zoas, ricordea and frogspawn......I really have nowhere to put it where it could not reach out and touch multiple things....I ahve a couple of these green montis......not saying IDC about it......BUT it's the least thing I am worried about....
