HOLY COW!!!!
I just got the response to the light question Henry..........I have 250W halides that are about 8" off top of the tank, and the acro is probably 15" deep in the tank (tank is 30")
SO WHAT DO I DO?????
it is:
those would have been kept under the 250 Watt HQI fixtures. The lights are about 3 feet off the surface of the tank and there is about 3 inches of water between the coral and the surface. Hope that helps.

IME Acropora brown from not enough light and bleach white from too much light. Again light being the easiest thing to mess with the other factors like water chemistry (calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, pH, etc.) and water currents. Strong water currents are required if you want the best coloration.
I would move the coral up about 6" or so and let it rest for a week or two to see how it does.

this is about as high as I can get it right now......what do you think? (it was by the sailfins tail..LOL)

THIS IS FOR CARLOS...those zoas go down the back of the rock too, and you can see on the left where they are spreading to the next rock

Should be good to go now. When we first talked you were going to move it up slowly. Was the other spot as far as you were going to go?

if it did okay I kinda liked it there.....BUT....It looks good where I moved it too also....HAHA....I just hope I didn't upset the acro crab...it's still in there :)
I can see white in the very bottom middle of the acro....is that normal??? I'll try to get a pic of it (yeah right) LOL

Meowzer, I really love the tube anemone there!! Any chance of trying some actinic shots of that little beauty?
Also your chilli coral. What do you feed it, and how often? I'd love an excuse to get one for the seahorse tank, but I've been put off by its non-photosynthetic nature.
