AWWWWW someone in a bad mood....So where do you get any type of commercial crap. I never said I had 60 right at this moment...I have had 60+ over my time past few tanks..I guess you where to busy trying to take down parliament to realize that one
Mr. X is not in a bad mood, he is frustrated, with good reason; he has a problem figuring out what killed his coral.
YOU, instead of offering help come out and say how wonderful things are for you. That doesn't help Mr.X it's like sticking your tongue out and making fun of his dilemma.
Now I have the same problem Mr.X does and I was very interested in what answers he would get. You keep breaking in with statements that just make Mr.X angry.
Because of all this hatefulness the thread may get closed down and I won’t get my answer either. So please stop it. It is nice things are fine for you. So go away and let us imperfects figure out how to be perfect.
Thank You

I contribute mine to the switch to TM mainly bacuse I had absolutely no other issues going on at the time. Also I lost some colonies that I have had to 4-5 years with no othe hiccups. Also a freind of mine bought a bucket of TM with me on the same shipment and had the exact same issues. I should have tested the salt, but I just go so PO'ed that I dumped it down the drain. I have been able to switch from reefcrystals to CL in the past with no issues. I actually just did that because reefcrystals is low on cal, mag, and alk. CL is much higher in those areas so I wont have to dose as much. I have a 20 gallon mixing tank and I do 5 gallons per week on my system so I just kept with the norm for the switch. I am now mixing reefcrystals and CL 50/50 and doing 3 2 gallon water changes weekly to spread it out. Also a freind of mine switched from reefcrystals to CL about 2 months ago and likes the results. Also the LFS where I buy most of my things from uses exclusively CL so I am not too worried this time around. Hope this helps.

Tangs and angels love aussie acans. Aussie acans seem to be more tasty for whatever reason. Keep an eye on you angel fish if you get another one it might have been him.

The issue is from from switching salt. Not because there was anything wrong with TM but because the differences in the trace elements in the salt cause certain Zooxanthellae to grow and when you switch salts their food is gone, as the die so do your coral if a new zooxanthellae does not take over fast enough. Bang Guy puts it much better hear https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/349506/best-salt-mix
Moral of the story if you have been on one salt for a while and want to switch do it very slowly
