Red Hair algae on sand

I tested me water today trying to figure out if i had a problem. All test came back neg. And salitinity came back perfect. My problen is a quarter size spot of red hair algae. Cant find any info in it. I also have some lime green algae growing. I have a clean up crew but dont know what else i need.

Do you have a picture of these algae's?

I think joe is right, it sounds like cyanobacteria. There are hundreds of thousands of threads on this site about it and even more out there. Google it and see if that's what you have.

I never even said what they were or weren't...all I did was ask if the op had a pic....
Where did you say you were referring to only one
you said look up cyanobacteria.....

IMO the red is Cyano. Hard to tell from the second pic, is the algae filimitasious? If not it could be micro algae, which is what you want

Cyano CAN be green, but in the aquarium it rarely is. That does look like cyano, I would second that id. As far as the lime green stuff, it looks like coraline to me. But without actually being there or feeling it, it is hard to say. Is the lime green hard or slimy? Does it fall right off, or is it stuck there for good?
EDIT: If it is hard, like you said, it's coraline...which is very good.

Cyano isn't really bad bacteria, it doesn't harm anything. I need to write an article about it to link people to. It can easily take over a tank and coat everything in slime. It CAN be (but isn't always) really really hard to get rid of. DO NOT buy antibiotics for it. Do a search on cyanobacteria or cyano and all of your questions will likely be answered about it. Is it a bad bacteria absolutely not, but is it bad for your aquarium, absolutely. Most people get it and most people get rid of it. Good luck, the hobby starts now.

Yes, Henry has a pretty good method of getting rid of it...
