Red Pancakes in my small tank

Actually, sadly I kinda laxed on the cleaning a while back and some of the coraline on my rocks started becoming brown. I am assuming then since phosphates affect that... that its gone out of control secretly and now I have to drag it back

Whats the thought of using Crushed coral in a netting to add back nutrients for the coral algae? Right now my tanks are purely sand and live rock. I do not add anything into the water other than food for the fish.

There's no purpose for "Crushed coral in a netting" other than growing copepods (good thing) and trapping detritus (bad thing). It won't dissolve unless your PH is critically low so it's not going to add anything to the tank.

What would cause the coraline on some of my rocks to go brown? that my main concern atm.
