cal, don't listen to anything that scott says.. he knows nothing.. he keeps large species of angels and foxfaces in a 20 gallon roflmao. Don't get a brittle, they're hit and miss... linkias require supplemental feeding and an established tank.

I would wait for awhile...I love linkas, but you should definitely let the tank mature.

Hey Jr., I was thinking about taking out my bio media ring things(clogging up too much in the back chamber...lol) and putting some chateo in...does it matter where i put the chateo in my back chamber?

Heres a picture of my back chamber right next to the skimmer on the other side is the heater chamber and then goes through some carbon then back out via the ph's... I have like 3" by 3" to work with in there...any suggestions?
The biological filter rings keep clogging up with junk and are not allowing enough water flow to circulate through here and it's cause this area of open water to smell like the skimmer...
I recently replaced the bio filter rings with a new bag and what you know the smell went away and there was a little swirl of water in this chamber hence more flow...lol
So just wondering if i could put chaeto in this chamber? And not even deal with the biological filter rings....
I attached another photo showing the back chambers...
At #7 it gets clogged up at...
At #4 i want the chaeto in...
Oh yeah does a white sponge do anything other then collect uneaten food from your aquarium just wondering cause i would like to pull that out too...lol

ya I had the same issue at first too, but once corals start attaching to the rocks... its harder to move them in a spot so the corals done get squished, and have the scape still look good lol

I don't like messing with chaeto anymore... its messy and clogs stuff.. I love my turf scrubber on my 15.. the 20long is getting the renovations too very soon, I'm done dealing with chaeto ending up all over the place .

Can i do a turf scrubber on my setup?
dunno... I never looked in the back of a RSM... definitely ditch the biorings though.. the blockage will only get worse... ditch that sponge too unless you plan on replacing it every week.
