What are the coolest reef safe fish that would fit in a 40 gallon tank? When I say coolest I mean what are your favorite fish that would meet these requirements? (40 gallon reef tank)
Thanks

Clowns, Firefish, Gobies, Royal grammas, Cardnials, Blennies, Bicolor psudochromis. there are lots more reef safe fish but with a 40 gallon tank, you're limited. For example, tangs, and angels are great reef fish but you need at least 60 (IMO) for angels and a 125 for tangs.

Is there any chance I could have a small angel (coral beauty or flame angel) for a while in a 40 gallon. Before it outgrew the tank? :notsure: :notsure:

Personally I think pygmy angels from the genus centropyge (such as the ones you mentioned) would be OK. That's just my opinion. You might want a relatively large amt of live rock for them to feel at home.

Can I keep most coral under a 192 watt light in a 40 gallon tank 16" H? I've been told I'd be able to have mostly everything with that except if I wanted acropora they would have to be placed higher in the tank.

What light would you recommend, I don't have unlimited resources lol, but if you knew of one that was better and not too much more expensive that be awesome!

Hmm.... gime some more info... what size tank (need dementions) and what is the max you are willing to spend on this....
also are you willing to make you own canopy or are you looking for a full lighting setup. if you can DIY it... it will be cheaper

40 gallon 36"x18"x16" (40 breeder) I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to pay, if you could maybe give me some examples of lights + prices, I would decide from that. And when you say canopy what do you mean. lol (sorry I'm kind of a newb when it comes to building fish stuff)

Ya i don't think I was gonna get a canopy, just some little plastic things to the hold the light above the water
